Matsuda-san worked with artisans in the Kansai area to design these beautiful, handcrafted serving chopsticks. These wooden chopsticks are finished with a light urushi (lacquer) coating. At 11" long, these are the perfect length for serving your favorite dishes. And, to rest perfectly on bowls or plates without rolling away, Matsuda-san added a flat side.
On the top of these chopsticks are images of a frog and a rabbit taken from the "Bird Beast Human Scroll", a national treasure hanging at the Toganosan Koanji Temple in Kyoto.
